This Privacy Policy explains how Submission ("the App," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our service. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign up, we collect information such as your email address, display name, role (dominant or submissive), and profile settings you choose during onboarding.

App activity and content

We store data you create or generate in the App, including:

  • Tasks, rewards, punishments, and bonus activities
  • Points, completions, purchases, and activity history
  • Partner link codes and linked partner relationships
  • Photos you upload as task evidence
  • Feature requests, bug reports, and optional contact emails you submit

Device and technical information

If you enable push notifications, we store device tokens needed to deliver notifications. We also collect standard technical data such as browser type and app usage needed to operate and secure the service. This may include information processed by our hosting and infrastructure providers.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the App
  • Authenticate you and manage your account
  • Sync shared data between linked partners
  • Send notifications you have enabled
  • Respond to feedback, bug reports, and support requests
  • Protect the security and integrity of the App

3. How information is shared

With your linked partner

When you link accounts, certain catalog and activity data is shared between you and your partner as part of the App's core functionality. Only link with someone you intend to share this information with.

With service providers

We use third-party services to host the App, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, and messaging). These providers process data on our behalf according to their own terms and privacy policies.

Legal requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the App.

4. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. We may retain certain information longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as security and dispute resolution.

5. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encrypted transport. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices

  • You can update profile and notification settings in the App.
  • You can disable or block push notifications in your browser or device settings.
  • You can unlink from a partner through the App where that feature is available.
  • You may request account or data deletion by contacting us.

7. Children's privacy

The App is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us so we can delete it.

8. International users

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to this transfer and processing.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version in the App with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
